Skopje, what's happening? // documenting sites before they change // next session in march 2011.
First session, photo taken from 12h to 15h, during month of august 2010
Things change through time. The photography keeps trace of time, trace of the place where I grow up. Keep my attempt of storing places as i remember them,
before they change, until my next home re-visiting the same places through time, places to which i am attached, noticing and documenting time and space.
These way the project become a king of open story of places that change, keeping my artistic and personal interest in these spaces open,
as the process of re visiting through time remains open.
Changes happens fast seen through my eyes,
more less in distances of 6 months, when i come back home from promisedland. During my last visit I noticed that
also my home - peripheral zone, changed. I decided to document them, taking pictures of everything I consider important and likely to change,
thinking of a project that is going to grow in a form of a documentation consisting of photograph's and short text that is going to keep track of the changes,
even through long period of time, as 6 months, 1 year. In these first summer session i concentrated my documentation on the zone i know best.
26 years ago, in these same places, I remember the corn fields, where i use to catch butterfly's and strange bugs.

On the other side of the river there were (and still are) industrial and difficult to identify stuff around. Searching for names of things.
I use to walk a lot around these places and i always wondered what will be the future of these places. Notakindofsiteseeing, Yet, i find strange interest
looking around searching for scenes you can see only here: people fishing in the polluted river, naked blonde Rom children playing with garbage left behind,
abandoned dogs running after you, iron industry next to sport camp and stuff like that. All these in around 1km...allong the river Vardar.
There are some places that i like more and other places that i never found out what are they really, but the landscape speaks for itself, take a look if u have time.
